River and canal

Today was a really enjoyable day until the rain came.
A productive morning at the shop followed by a lovely visit from my sister, her partner and my niece. Lunch and some catch up chat in the cafe. We need to make it a longer visit next time, so much to talk about.
Unfortunately the rain came while we were finishing lunch and it meant we couldn’t have a proper walk around the shopping village. By the time we closed the shop up the rain was torrential and we had to paddle to the car in the downpour.
It continued raining when we got home and it was hard to tell whether we had a river or a driveway outside the house.
