Nafplio

Once a Ventian outpost, subsequently the capital of the liberated Greece, Nafplio is now a slightly upmarket seaside destination for Athenians.

The fort above the town can be accessed in 2 ways. By car, or by climbing 913 steep stairs. I gave my lungs a good work by choosing the stairs. My knees, however, wish I had taken the easier route.
