Alyssum

This alyssum grows around the base of the tree in my front yard, & it looks so pretty in the masses of purple. But until I photographed it today, I never really looked closely at the individual flowers themselves--never realized the petals are actually heart-shaped, & are just as pretty standing alone as in a bunch!
