Stop!

I stopped tidying a little area of the garden where I'd grown daffodils in the lawn edge when I realised that this hoverfly was actively laying eggs in the ground. She wasn't interested in the slightest in buzzing off - just crawling round and reversing in to nooks and crannies.  She (or one of her boyfriends) has been buzzing noisily around the garden for some time.
