wet shoes

Work this morning and the rain torrented down several times during the exam. The noise on the roof of the sports hall was pretty loud. There was also a very noisy bird outside but it had an amazing song. No idea what it was. That is me done invigilating until December!!
I popped into the shop for some fruit then I stopped at the local garden centre as there is a mountain warehouse inside and I wanted some more walking trousers. I had spotted  black clouds when I arrived and of course the heavens opened and the rain torrented down. I waited until the rain eased but walked through an almost river to my car, my feet got soaked through my lovely shoes.
