Lesser Stag Beetle?

Well I think it is. I have looked it up in the DK "Wildlife of Britain" book. I found it (the beetle) lurking by the water butt. DK says: "Dorcus Parallelipidedus: the lesser stag beetle has a relatively large head and prothorax. The male's jaws are curved but not enlarged.
