Life at a snail’s pace

A very very wet night and morning: good for replenishing the water stores and turning the “greens” green.

Our ferry was on time and we arrived on Coll as the cloud lifted (slightly). We met up with our other friends and spent a pleasant afternoon visiting local beaches and catching up.

We went to the Coll Hotel for dinner - which was great and the gardens lovely. See extra for the flowers (very akin to Lindisfarne the other weekend). Sadly the sun which had been trying to break through weakened and the wind got up a bit.

Our attention was caught by this adventurous snail which decided to climb the window outside. I was encouraged to make it the photo of the day. Something I was happy to do.
