Raindrops and dandelions
I was fooled by the weather of the last few days and from the beautiful start to the day into thinking it was going to last, how wrong was I.
A sunny walk turned into a refreshing shower, into a torrential downpour.I still had a fabulous time though. The bluebells were stunning along the hills that lead down onto the beach at Rosemarkie and there as a profusion of all other wild flowers which drew me nearer and nearer to the caves, just 5 more minutes I said to myself and then I'll turn back.I should know by now that my 5 minutes turns into several hours. After helping a poor lady who had fallen over and needed help to get up I continued down the beach. The fact that the lady had said there were otters there the day before meant there was no way I was turning back.I am so glad I did nt as I spent about 30 minutes watching two otters playing in the sea and feeding on the rocks.Unfortunately too far out to get a decent photo.
I walked back along the top path,a mistake after the rain as I returned with sodden footwear and trouser legs. This dandelion seed head seemed to sum up the day.
