Beaches
Today we stayed local walking over to Watergate Bay for a lovely breakfast at a cafe overlooking the beach. We were watching the surfers when the coastguard helicopter started circling and a dramatic rescue played out in front of us. The coastguard paramedics did RNLI did an amazing job. We were about half a mile along the beach when a lifeguard on a quad bike caught up with us to advise that they were expecting an unusually high tide and we might not have time to get through at the other end near Whipsiderry. We took his advice and walked over the cliffs instead - a lovely walk with terrific views, but we arrived very hot and sweaty so jumped into the sea for a refreshing swim. Juno stood guard until I came out, but Flo braved the waves and had a little swim herself. We stayed shallow as there was a strong undercurrent.
