The flowers lift their heads to the heavenly sound

The park is empty early this morning; no tennis players, no dog walkers standing in a group with their coffees- dogs chasing their tails, no joggers out timing their paces, no people sitting on the newly refurbished seats - its raining, much needed rain and the grass seems to be greening up before my eyes. 
I believe it is a curse "may you live in interesting times", l sat up watching the parliamentary  debate over the report from the Privaleges Committee on Boris Johnsons  relationship with the truth - did he lie or mislead parliament?   He certainly did and good riddance to him.  We have now been shown to have yet another Tory leader who is not up to scratch - he didn't even attend to vote, would rather try to hold the Conservative party together than the country it seems!
