Green Lamppost

A familiar sight to those of you who follow P, too, but I hadn’t blipped this lamppost before. It’s on a residential street in our neighbourhood, on the way to the bigger one of the nearby supermarkets.
Walking to go shopping was a brave decision on my part (P was brave, too, and walked with me), on a humid day with 32°C in the shade, but along streets without shade. 


We had both felt the need to get out of the house, and thankfully we didn’t (quite) melt on the way, but it reminded me of a visit to Mumbai just before the Monsoon season, many years ago.


Last night’s rain didn’t even amount to 1 mm here, so I need to water the flowers and tomatoes again. It’s almost 6 P.M. now, and still warm outside with 29°C.
