Sweet Pes and Dinosaurs

A u3a book group meeting this morning where we discussed Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks. It was considered by most to be an enjoyable and historical book, although fiction, to be a very good choice.
 
The afternoon was spent once again catching up with emails and paperwork; sometimes I wonder where it all comes from!
 
Today’s picture is of some sweet peas. On Sunday a dog appeared in our garden, I could not see her owner and being a bit wary of strange dogs I did not approach her. Instead, I photographed her and put the picture on our village Newsline on Facebook. Her owner was soon found and on Monday morning her owner and the dog arrived with this little bunch of sweet peas as an apology.
 
Part of the problem is that the workmen doing the gates have not been back to complete the job, they do not close properly, hence the dog could get in. I am currently chasing them as the work is complete except for a few minor things that need attention. After my text to him today, I expect he will appear tonight, full of excuses as to why he has not been able to visit.
 
The temperature at noon today was twenty-five degrees Celsius.
