Hover fly, also called flower fly or syrphid fly

The special thing about gliders is their appearance. Because of the yellow and black patterns, the hoverfly does not look like a fly, but like a bee or wasp. This imitation of other animals is called mimicry. Birds like to eat flies. But hover flies, because of their disguise, leave them alone for fear of being stung. Fooled, because hoverflies can't sting.
