Thought New mills looked interesting place to visit (1st photo)but misleading info about Heritage Centre and walks too difficult especially in rain BUT noticed an open door and met a Weaver (see loom)who then directed me to shop selling local artists' creations.
Then onto Eyam - the village which went into lockdown to prevent plague moving OUT in 17th century. Very informative, attractive museum - painting of man collecting bread left for villagers and leaving money, and chart showing each house with number who died or survived. Light relief with garden.
