Scented Rose
The weather has gone a bit ‘Irish’ unfortunately. One minute it’s sunny and the next the rain is dancing off the ground. But it really enhances the roses, I think. This one is a beaut and highly scented.
The seilidí (snails) are tramping across the garden in their regimental way. In school our Irish teacher called them shellamuddy (phonetically) - I’m not sure why, maybe a Connemara dialect - but that’s what I call them thar snails…. shellamuddys.
The varmints
But some of them are quite beautiful
