Merringtons

I had to write to Sharon, the town clerk to find out where the Merrington's grave is in our local cemetery. 

29 year old Barbara was killed alongside her mother and five year old son when a Dornier 217 dropped its bombs on Midhurst on 10 February 1943.

Ironically the family had been evacuated from London for their safety. 

So sad ...
