New block and fabric

I had a customer this afternoon who made her mind up very quickly, so I started making something for myself. Potentially for the House of Lords event.

I love the vibrancy of the colour of this fabric, which is called pinokpok, a new one to me. It’s more expensive than the usual ‘sinamay’ that I use, and is much softer, but it takes the shape beautifully. I hope it dries and stiffens well.

I got a purple too, but ran out of time before choir, so that will be tomorrows task.
