Purple back garden lupin

This back garden lupin is one of the children of the larger one in our yarden, which I grew from seed in 2020. (It has other relations, such as a sibling that has recently moved to Tain.)

I snapped the lupin this afternoon while I was gardening. I was mainly salvaging bulbs for replanting in the autumn, now that their spring foliage has died back. I listened to a BBC radio dramatisation of David Copperfield while I worked.

I spent most of the morning at my gym.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; swimming (30 lengths); strength training class; walking (14,449 steps); gardening.
