Golden Mummies

An interesting afternoon, with a visit to Manchester Museum (my first) to see their exhibition of golden Egyptian mummies and some other stuff, including the South Asia gallery and a portrait of the late great John Peel.

Later, we had dinner at Higher Ground, currently rated as 51st best eating place in the UK. It was excellent, especially the cheese and yellow bean tart.
