A Hurt Goose

Grant the goose was lagging behind his family/friends. The group has left the land and are WAY out in the water. Why isn't Grant with the rest? His right leg is hurt, and he is limping badly. And I mean badly.

I asked him if I could get out of my van and look at it, but he didn't answer. As he hit the water, I could tell that he was even having trouble using the leg as a paddle.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't have a good feeling for his future.
