Thor's Rock, Thurstaston Common

100% day off today and beautiful sunshine too! Amazing!

Met Sue for a photography day out. We walked about 6miles through woods and along the beach from West Kirby to Hoylake and then through Thurstaston Common. It was a beautiful day and a lovely walk, with great company. We nearly sank in the sand/mud a few times! It was lovely to have a picnic in the sand dunes and my face now feels a little sun/wind burnt.

I was torn between two pictures to blip. I will put a few more pictures on flickr but it won't let me sign in at the moment.

This is Thor's Rock on Thurstaston common. We stood for ages waiting for people to move away from the rock so we could take pictures. It became a battle of wills with one couple who could see we were waiting but decided just to stand in the middle and use their mobiles and make us wait! Obviously not photographers.
