The Fly

After an overcast morning it turned into a lovely sunny evening, although a bit chilly out of the sun.

Today's blip is another one from the garden. I keep going out to see if I can find new insects, but there aren't that many around. I presume the cold weather has held them back.

In the end I managed to get a reasonable shot of this fly, which in reality is very small indeed. It sat on a rhubarb leaf long enough for me to get off enough shots so that luckily one of them is mostly in focus. I particularly like the bits of pollen sticking to it. Definitely worth looking at it large.
