Broken Sound

Someone (no names, no pack drill) accidentally wiped all the settings in our mixer whilst trying to rearrange some channels! So we have hired a local venue for the evening to reset everything. At the same time, we’re going to tidy a few things up to make life easier going forward. Things like colour coding the drum mic cables so we have a fighting chance of getting them plugged into the correct channel first time!
As well as the drums, we need to check and reprogramme all the vocal mic channels as they were causing problems even before the settings were lost. And if there’s time, I’m hoping to get my bass amp dialled in properly - both backline and front of house.
The problem is that it’s been nigh on impossible to get everyone in the same room at the same time, since we got the new mixer and PA, to set the sound up properly. The wiping of the channels has rather forced our hand though, as we need to get it sorted before the next gig on Saturday. Not everyone is here tonight, but we weren’t planning on rehearsing any numbers, just getting the sound right.
We have been told though that the venue might be available on a fortnightly basis if we do want to practise. Which could be handy…
