A mouse joined us...

...as we looked at the menu, and sunshine in the garden later...

A cousins' meet at The Bay Horse in Hurworth - the mouse is the signature of "Mousey" Thompson, a North Yorkshire furniture maker.
The menu was a bit pretentious, but they do market themselves as "fine dining" - chard(sic) sweetcorn, duxelles, squid foam etc on offer...
On this occasion we stuck with the lunch menu, and it was simpler and absolutely delicious! We will return...

Back to Sheila & Brian's afterwards for a chat in the garden just to round off the day - the hat selection courtesy of Sheila, but we still had to move inside as it is such a suntrap  ;)

Now safely back at home after a sociable couple of days.
