Something new to watch

The windows in our house look out over a large sloping field which is often grazed by cattle.
A few weeks ago the field was treated to kill off all the existing grass and thistles.
A sign went up to tell us that the field was going to be planted with a ley crop. Wiklpedia tells me that this is a mixture of legumes and different grasses which can enrich the soil and discourage persistent pests.

Today the red tractor appeared and spent time harrowing to break up all the top soil.
An hour later the blue tractor (see extra) appeared pulling a device which was clearly planting seeds. Now we need some rain.

Gives us something to watch over lunc !
