Big Bug

A slightly cooler day (but again a dry one); perfect for lots of gardening. Lunch was the last asparagus of the season. I‘m already looking forward to next spring…

B and I went for a walk in the afternoon, and almost stepped on this magnificent female stag beetle. Not as impressive as a male one, but still a big bug, and - like so many insects - increasingly rare.
