Hans Town

Today I met W for a wander around Hans Town in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. It is now just a Borough Ward but was once a grand 18th Century suburb centred on Sloane Street.
Hans Sloane was a physician and collector, notable for his bequest which became the foundation of the British Museum.
At one point in the distance, we saw what we thought was a disused entrance to an Underground station. On closer inspection it was Hooper's Court which incorporates a new step-free entrance to Knightsbridge Underground opening later this year. See extra. The second extra was my lunch. I don't often Blip food but these Eggs Florentine were so well presented they deserved one.
