The Long Good Friday
And a very good Friday it was too. Worked at home until 2pm then had the afternoon off, by which time all was warm and sunny. The Dizzle and I went into town and sat in the town square drinking and munching. Fell into conversation with a young woman and her daughter. I love talking to complete strangers.
TSM sent me a text suggesting we meet after work so I got the train up to Esher and we sat in a pub garden drinking PIMs and Fullers (not at the same time of course, you'd be sick). Then we drove along the river to Hampton Court where we had something to eat in Bluebeckers. TSM's veggie burger came with two chips which we felt was a bit light, and an embarrassed manager then went to the opposite extreme by piling 'em high so that we walked out stuffed.
Visited the palace itself and found ourselves alone in the magnificent old courtyard as the sun was setting. Quite gorgeous. Called in on the Yoga Mama for coffee on the way home, to round off a lovely evening.
Words don't really do my feelings justice. Such a happy evening...
