486 day of war
Hello, friends!
In Ukraine continue to have abnormal weather and it rains every day. The weather is quite hot and humid, with almost daily rainfall, making it impossible to travel by bicycle or go for walks. Currently, we hardly go out due to the weather and are preparing for a trip. Even though the forecast predicts rain on the dates we planned, we still hope for the best and have decided to go anyway because it's becoming very difficult to stay at home, and we really want to relax and change the scenery.
During this time, starting from May, there have been rocket attacks every night. Yesterday, during a heavy thunderstorm, an air raid siren went off, and it was truly frightening. The sound of thunder resembling an explosion from a rocket made it hard for us to sleep at night because we couldn't understand what was exploding around us. I feel like people in ancient times who feared natural phenomena, but it seems like these are just psychological consequences of war.
Additionally, for the second time during the war, the authorities are preparing us for a nuclear threat, this time in case of a possible terrorist attack at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant. It's hard for me to accept this as the truth. After all, I still hope that it won't happen, but the deployment of radiation assistance centers throughout the country and the abundance of information on how to behave during a nuclear accident worry me. It feels like the beginning of the war when the authorities already knew everything but didn't tell people to prevent panic.
Considering that Russia is using a "scorched earth" tactic, as the Soviet Union did before, they will most likely destroy everything they can without regard for the consequences. And this is truly a terrifying situation because we have nowhere else to flee. We escaped from Mariupol, essentially from hell, and now there's a threat that the end awaits us in any part of the country. I hope everything will be fine, and we will be able to endure it all, but it's mentally challenging to hold on and hope that Russia won't carry out any terrorist acts when forced to leave our territory.
This morning's news was also very interesting. We are currently witnessing the beginning of a civil war in Russia, and I am confident that our leadership will take advantage of this situation. The Russian regime solely relies on lies; it doesn't have a strong and charismatic leader and lacks real societal support. All these conflicts within Russia will undoubtedly work in our favor because the Russians will have fewer opportunities to hold onto occupied territories.
And now we are literally watching a "movie" where all the events have been turned upside down. The Wagner PMC fighters are now being greeted with flowers and not obstructed. They are quickly moving towards Moscow, and military units are coming under their control.
The war shifting to Russian territory marks the beginning of a new stage in the conflict. It's still unclear what this will lead to, but we believe in a better outcome.
Of course, our enemy is not only Putin but also Wagner and other aggressively-minded Russians, but a civil war within the aggressor country is a positive development in any case.
No matter what, I believe that we now have real opportunities to reclaim Crimea and all the occupied territories. We believe that everything will be fine, that we can withstand it all and truly become free.
I would like to thank everyone for their support and assistance on buymeacoffee. Also, I would like to share my Instagram once again, where I showcase t-shirts from my own production. A year has passed since I started dyeing and now this hobby has become a full-time job, which I like very much
