The Group W Bench

Caught one of our foursome resting on this bench.
Every time I see someone sitting alone on a bench, or if I sit on a bench, I am reminded of Alice’s Restaurant and Arlo Guthrie being sent to the Group W bench as not being moral enough to serve in the US Army because he was once fined for littering.
This particular bench is a memorial to one of our past captains, on the 17th tee. His quote is, “I am 7 shots away from a perfect IPA.” Maybe for him! 17 is a long par 3…that’s a 5. 18 is a challenging par 5…that’s an 8. I am 13 shots away from needing to replace all the electrolytes I used up on just the last two holes.
Off for a visit with Dunnie, and to see Nash practice. I’ll boast for Dunnie, who is too modest to say this: Nash is one of the best basketball player in BC, if not all of Canada. But best of all, he is very well rounded and grounded. He is a reflection of his Grandfather.
