Tess stepped in last minute to take Sharon's ticket. She endured us old gals listen, reminisce and sing along to Eddie sing the old songs and tell the tenement tales and long gone house parties, where everybody's favourite Uncle brought a hush to the room singing a beautiful lament while an auntie or neighbour, a woman with a world of life experience under her belt, followed up with a belter of a balad at the end of the night. And us wee ones got to sneakily stay up to the wee small hours, often outlasting the bog ones.
