Bun thit nuong

I popped into Manchester today. Picked up some more cyanotype chemicals from Dailydesigns, and then headed out to Caphe Viet on Oldham Road for a bit of lunch. Bun is a type of noodles, here served as effectively a warm salad with grilled pork (thit nuong) and spring rolls. It was one of my regular lunch dishes when I lived in Vietnam so it was a lovely trip down memory lane. Even the weather was almost hot and humid enough to be authentic!

Then on to Manchester Art Gallery to see a screening of Shirley Baker a life through a lens. Met up with a camera club friend and really enjoyed it.

Off to visit J this evening. Hopefully he’ll be more relaxed than he was yesterday.
