Spear Thistle .....

..... best not to get too close .... the plant is very, very jaggy.

I paid a very brief visit to the Heritage Park loch this morning hoping the yachts might be out but no sign of any water sports activities. 

The thistles are just opening out with their purple toories looking quite splendid. There is a tiny wee bug enjoying a spot of exploration.
