Luna and I sat down on the river bank for a while this morning, trying to get some respite from the searing heat.   Soon after it clouded over although the heat is still oppressive.    We've just done two gentle laps of an easy path through the meadows and Luna is now flat out on the cold tiles in the kitchen.
While we were  by the river I was able to get this picture of the Four-spotted Chaser, he was being very territorial and true to his name was chasing anything that came within range where he was resting on a reed.
