And the sun shone!

We’ve had the most fantastic party day today and lots of great photos.

Overcast but warm this morning we had a leisurely breakfast before walking down into Bowness on Windermere.

Lots of geese and goslings to check out on the Lake shore and boats to watch too.

We had lunch booked sitting outdoors over looking the lake marina. A predominantly fishy affair everyone enjoyed. 
Overfull we made our way back up the hill, Eda managed to persuade Alex to give her a piggy back most of the way, Jude mainly walked!

Then out came the sun! Fine views of the lake from the terrace on now dry chairs and glasses of fizz which we took with us into the hot tub! Chris did follow us in after he took this photo. Only the second time I’ve been in a hot tub, the first being in New Zealand 10 years ago.

People got out after varying lengths of time, Grace being last. 
I wasn’t allowed into the kitchen as preparations were going on.
We had cake, presents and party food sitting out side well into the evening before getting the girls ready for bed.

A very special family day for us all, thank you to all who made it so special, not least my little girlies! 

And we have another full day tomorrow!
