Plas Newydd

This year's family weekend was at a campsite in Llangollen. Four cousins, one second cousin, their partners and their dogs had a lovely day around Llangollen. Morning coffee was taken at Plas Newydd, previously unknown to me, where the scandalised "Ladies of Llangollen" lived together as a couple and designed this house and garden and entertained and inspired contemporary luminaries including Byron, Wordsworth, Shelley and the Duke of Wellington. The building is amazing and the gardens are a delight. 
The day concluded with a wander down to Horseshoe falls and a group photo at the top of the Horseshoe pass.
