George Eastman Young Leaders Award

This morning, I was invited to attend the Junior Awards ceremony in the library. My classmates and I were awarded scholarships from universities around the country; it was truly an honor to be there. I received the George Eastman Young Leaders Award from the University of Rochester. I'm extremely thankful that I was awarded this honor.

After that, school went on as usual. It was unusually hot on Long Island today, but that didn't stop the brave few of us that went outside during gym and APUSH to play frisbee. During graphic art, Hunter had two of his former students come in and talk to us about the business and charity that they formed, The Passenger Project. Their designs rock and they are committed to charity; check them out!

I gave a cello lesson to Allison today during lunch. Scales are silly.

Calc final night period. I feel like I did pretty well on it. Only two more days and then I'm done with calc for the year.

After school I hung out with Peter, Dan, and Kenny in Ms. Cahill's office. Then Dan and I took a road trip to Runner's Edge to get him some shoes. It was nice catching up with him.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to take some time off now that my season is over...but then I went and ran 6 miles today. Oops.

I should be preparing for the SAT right now, but instead, I'm going to bed (it's only 8:30). I'm supposed to get a good night's sleep, right?

Today was a day of many realizations, and while most were not pleasant, they were all necessary for me to move forward with my life.
