Marbled Whites

I was lucky enough to photograph these beauties at almost exactly the same time last year. 

I went out early this morning with my usual 70d + macro lens in the hope of a quick blip and the marbled whites were flitting about. By some fluke, I managed to get this shot on the macro lens, although I did have to crop it substantially. 

As it wasn't too hot, I went back for the OM5 and the longer zoom lens - nothing decent with the butterflies in flight, but, one of them settled for a few seconds on this clover head and I was very glad of the quick and sharp autofocus on this occasion! :)
