Flaps Down
Flaps down; a puffin coming into land on the rocks on Staple Island this morning.
With rain on the horizon this afternoon we decided to go for another catamaran trip to the Farne Islands whilst it was sunny and not too windy which proved to be a good decision.
It was lovely to see the puffins and hopefully next year we will be able to land with avian flu having been kicked into touch. Fingers well and truly crossed for that one. The crew managed to get the boat as near in as they could so it was possible to get some shots from a precariously balanced position as the boat rocked. Taking shots from the top deck meant I was more level with the puffin action which was great.
