Summertime...

.. and the livin' is easy..

Bit of a theme emerging in my uploads just lately. The garden just keeps on giving. 

When we moved house in September we left behind a great number of cherished plants and shrubs. It was just not practical to uproot everything. 

So we are very happy to see that a lot of things we 'abandoned' are here already, and it gives us some comfort and continuity.

Like the two super lavender bushes, and the large yellow loosestrife  (Lysimachia punctata (or is it Vulgaris?) which is a fabulous display just now) 

Very warm and humid today, and we sweated in the garden, mowing lawns and weeding. So much *#@!! weeding. 

A bit of a shower mid afternoon and we are going to take a chance and go out with Hollie for country ramble. 

A sea captain was heard to ask a crewman to write down the symbols for the Latin number two.

The seaman instantly replied I I captain.. Which was very quick, don't you think?
