BBQ...

I had a busy day... did a tip run (twice) to get rid of all the bottles and excess cardboard. Back to shower and off to Haddington to collect dry cleaning and meet MrSmith for a coffee and a blether.

Then it was off to Gorebridge to see Jonny & Steven in their new house. Lovely afternoon with them and some of their pals. A catch up with an old colleague which was lovely.

Then it was off to Dunbar to collect Victoria at the station after she'd spent the day at the Highland Show. We decided to BBQ for dinner and this was us at 11pm still cooking. We went to bed at 5am after polishing off wine and passion fruit martinis. 

We met a lovely little hedgehog which was random as I'd said about an hour before that I'd never seen one here. Quite bizarre to watch it pootle across the bottom of the steps. 

We had a 3am exploration to the attic to look at fabric that was leftover from the curtains when the house was an old people's home. It was boiling up there and we couldn't understand why all the pipes were hot. Checked in the boiler room and there's no heating on so we surmised that it must be hot water pipes. No idea why we're heating water at 3am but I flagged it with Sarah. 

Meanwhile they look like they're having the best time at Glastonbury. I'm off to watch the Young Father's set to see if I can spot them in the crowd.
