A Rock
We are on the edge of a cliff, on the north-west edge of Scotland. Apparently the area is now the North-West Highlands Geopark.
I have the Council’s leaflet in front of me. The park contains ‘a world class array of rock types’ and it illustrates a lot of them, together with mind-boggling numbers as to their ages …
But I can’t decide if this is Lewisian Gneiss, or Torridonian Sandstone or maybe it’s Durness Limestone, we are in Durness, after all.
The rain brought the colours out nicely …
