Fledgings

We’re in the Lakes for a canoeing reunion of J’s Manchester Canoe Club friends. He has know them now for over 50 years, a lovely evening get together.
We spent the morning enjoying the fledgings at RSPB Hodbarrow, we saw baby eider, oystercatchers, sandwich terns and black headed gulls. This is a fledging sandwich tern, they are such elegant birds.
Disappointed with the 165 photos! perhaps because the birds were too far away and the day quite grey. But lovely to see those baby birds.
We had a wander round the beautiful Tarn How’s in the afternoon
