Lemon and Lavender

I was up at 5.45 and went straight outside and fed and watered the tubs while it was still cool. The temperature eventually reached 30° plus today, although there were some lovely breezes to make it more bearable. However, other than having a cup of tea outside late in the afternoon, we’ve spent the day mainly indoors, in the coolest part of the house. Neither of us enjoys the heat any more.

I planted this Viola Etain last year and am delighted that it’s flowering again. I love the colour scheme – so delicate and pretty – and I feel contented every time I look at it.
