Children can be quite alarmed when stung by a nettle, but, as children,we knew that there is always a dock leaf to be found nearby. A gentle rub on the affected area soon relieves the stinging sensation. Some folks say this is just a placebo effect, but it’s just as good as kissing a grazed knee better. Simple solutions are often the best.
