Mid summer?

We had a freak storm today. Thunder, lightening, rain, wind and hail! I was caught in the car and the noise of  the hail was horrendous. It lasted about 20 mins. Power lines were brought down , many shops flooded (its a hilly town).and several major roads were impassible.
Then it passed and we were back to a lovely summer afternoon.
