Today I was given a packet of sunflower seeds so hope that the soil is warm enough for them to germinate easily especially as it rained heavily for almost three hours shortly after they were planted.  The plants, birds and farmers will be happy to see the rain as will the water authorities.  At 1 o’clock the temperature was 22c and fell to 14c at 4 o’clock.  This evening the cloud started to clear and there was a colourful sky at sunset
