Western Mtn. with Clouds

The day started off foggy, got muggy, then hot, and now the fog has rolled back in over the marsh and the temperature dropped about ten degrees in twenty minutes.

We went for a walk along the shore in the middle of the day, which wasn't too bad because of the breezes off the ocean. Impressive clouds were climbing into the sky the whole time, but none of them have brought thunder or rain (yet, anyway). A killdeer was obviously nesting along the seawall someplace, and started playing it's little broken wing trick for us.  I can't recall seeing killdeer anywhere along this shoreline before, so I find this curious. Its the second one I've seen this week, the other being in an empty lot surrounded by heavy traffic near the Walmart. Ironically, the latter bird may have made its nest in a safer place.
