A classic Singapore night out

Had a pretty tough day at work today so, feeling like a drink was required, I hit the town with a US colleague who was in Sing for the first time. After many beers and some Indian food, we went to Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling and then on to Orchard Towers, so she could see the seedier (but still very tame) side of Singapore.

The chap in today's blip was bartending initially but then got up to sing back up with a group of really talented guys doing cover versions. The bar was full of hookers trying to attract US and British businessmen, but the band played on....

I was intrigued by this guy's approach to drag - literally just false eyelashes, make up and one earring, otherwise entirely dressed like a man.

After this, we went to a bar called Crazy Horse, renowned for lady boy hookers and people watched for 2 hours - absolutely fascinating! Then at 2am found a 24 hour cafe serving delicious desserts.

Rolled into bed at 3am. Great night.
