Spoonbills

I went for a long walk today along the river this morning and was delighted to see a flock of Spoonbills had taken over a small island that is usually frequented by Pelicans.  They are the most charismatic creatures.  To get closer for a shot and so that the sun was behind me I had to make an executive decision to walk in the water.  So wet shoes and socks were the order of the day and very cold feet on the walk home.  I have added an extra of where I took the image from before I used my zoom lens :)
